The ICT Authority has invited young Kenyans to apply for the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) Cohort X Intake.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the government said the 12-month internship programme is designed to equip graduates with skills in ICT and public service.

“The objective of the program is to develop and prepare young ICT graduates to take up employment opportunities that come up in the ICT as well as other sectors,” the notice read.

The programme will place successful applicants in both public and private sector institutions, where they will gain workplace experience, mentorship, and professional networks.

According to the ICT Authority, the available opportunities are spread across different ICT fields. These include 150 slots in Network and Digital Infrastructure, 100 slots in Software Development and Artificial Intelligence, 50 slots in Information Security, 50 slots in Multimedia (Graphic Design) and Digital Marketing, as well as 50 slots in Data Analytics.

Applicants must have graduated with First or Upper Second-Class Honors (or equivalent) from a recognized institution between January 2023 and now. Those awaiting graduation by December 2025 must provide a stamped and signed recommendation letter from their university.

The program targets graduates in ICT or engineering-related fields such as electrical, electronics, telecommunication, systems/software, and computer engineering. Candidates may also be required to demonstrate technical skills in their areas of specialization during interviews.

Other requirements include being a Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 29 years, unemployed, and not having participated in another government internship. Successful candidates must also be willing to work full-time in government organizations across all 47 counties.

Interested applicants are required to apply online at https://recruitment.digitalent.go.ke/ and upload the necessary documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The application deadline is midnight, September 15, 2025, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
