2027 Presidential hopeful Fred Matiangi stepped up his criticism of President William Ruto saying his was a government presided over by looters and thieves.
He told Kenyans not to expect any further good from an administration already bungling with the health and education sectors.
“What more good are we waiting to hear if when principals are crying daily for lack of money to run schools?”
“You can imagine the shocking scene where young ones are turning up in classes to school’s struggling with lack of bare minimums to run,” the former Education Cabinet Secretary said at Egesero area in West Mugirango where he also trained his verbal assault on Kisii County Governor Simbal Arati and the cabal of UDA party leading delegations to Statehouse to “eat”.
“I am hearing very unsettling claims from some of your own leaders who are promising our people ill-gotten goodies from State House. One is left wondering the kind of cheap thinking this is where they are noev hauling our people to grovel for handouts in State House,” he said.
“My advice is this go and line up and receive the money but ask for more not the Sh60 they are dishing out to our people in the villages in the form of empowerments it is your money anyway,” stated Matiangi.
Matiangi said it speaks of lethargy of a government that has now resorted to bribery to convince it’s people that it is functioning.
“Every month we pay our government to work but as as we speak there is no capitation in schools …I am in touch with hundreds of principals who are agitated by the open contempt with which this government is handling the docket. I was a Minister for education for long and never did we subject our young ones to such misery. We are at a point that even schools can now be auctioned to pay debts,” he told hundreds of mourners in two separate burials in Kitutu Masaba and West Mugirango Friday.
He said the spate of graft going on shocks the conscience of all right thinking Kenyans.
“How else can you explain when all your eyes fall on each morning on the newspapers is sickening news of thieving exploits. Today is either a heist from the Social Health Authority, tomorrow e-Citizen and tomorrow a planned theft from the education funds.”
“Where do people even get the presence of mind to sing around that you’re milking or even eating from this administration!” the straight talking former CS known for strong stance against lethargy said.
“If we continue like this we shall find empty shells in 2027. It pains that instead of development, we are being treated to a circus of brazen and raw theft…it is a government by looters that is only bent on stealing resources…we cannot go on like this as a nation if we are to survive by 2027.
Matiangi called out on leaders of the UDA charade preaching the two term narrative in Gusii terming utter foolery.
“It is sheer madness,” he said.
Matiangi spoke of an orchestrated campaign targeting adding that he was ready to fight his way into the ballot to help Kenya have the change it deserves.
“I will not abandon this ship, we must reclaim the country from the thuggery we have sunk into, we must fight for what is rightfully ours as a people,” the former CS stated.
