At least four women were killed Monday in a long night of gang land style slaughter across Nyamira County.  The killings have since sparked fear of a gang on the lose targeting women. The four victims were killed in separate suspected murder incidents spread across three Sub-Counties. In the first one, the body of a middle aged woman was stumbled on near a wonky bridge at Nyakongo in Kitutu Masaba. A section of residents of Kisii on Monday forced their way into Ting’a township and kicked out Nyamira County officials.  The sleepy market town borders Kitutu Chache North in Kisii and Kitutu Masaba in Nyamira. Kisii Governor Simba Arati and County Assembly Speaker now stand to lose their residences if a fresh boundary audit by Nyamira County succeeds.  The residences are set up in the lush Agriculture Training College farms, a kilometer from Kisii town. Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo is staring at possible impeachment over abuse of office claims.  Evans Juma Matunda, a Wiper affiliated party member, filed a notice in the County Assembly Tuesday afternoon of the intent to have the County boss hounded out. Most schools in Kisii had by late Tuesday reported a tardy start a day after Kuppet called off the teachers’ strike.  Most Principals described the situation as delicate. Some were still receiving students by late Tuesday, days later since the official opening date.
