A wrestling game between two South Sudanese nationals turned tragic when one of them fatally stabbed his friend in a rage in Kapsoya, Naiberi, Uasin Gishu County.
Police said the 17-year-old South Sudanese identified as Deng Junior had been playing a wrestling game with a 19-year-old fellow citizen when they differed on September 3 at night.
The assailant was angered after he was floored and dashed to the kitchen of the house where they were where he picked up a kitchen knife that he used to stab Deng killing him.
The suspect escaped the scene with the knife as neighbours responded there.
The deceased teenager was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
The body was preserved in mortuary pending an autopsy even as the hunt on the assailant goes on, police said.
Elsewhere, police are investigating an incident where a grade two pupil at Wiitu Primary School in Ikutha, Kitui County was found lying dead in a thicket.
Police said they are yet to establish the cause of the death of the eight-year-old girl. She was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said the body had no visible injuries at the time it was discovered.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.
And police are investigating an incident where the body of a man was found in the Laare Heath Centre compound in Meru County.
Police said the man was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the scene on Wednesday morning.
The body of Alex Muthee, 24, had multiple injuries in the legs, head and hands.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
The motive of the murder was not immediately established, police said adding an investigation had been opened into the same.
