The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has postponed its 20th anniversary celebrations in Mombasa to November 14-16, 2025.
In a statement on Friday, National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed said the decision was reached after a consultative meeting with party leader Raila Odinga at the Serena Hotel.
The celebrations, initially scheduled for October 12, 2025, will now be preceded by a series of county activities to expand the program and include more regions.
Junet said there has been growing demand from counties to host ODM@20 engagements, adding that the party has already visited Busia, Wajir, Kisii, and Narok.
Ahead of the main event in Mombasa, ODM will hold an ODM@20 Soccer Tournament on October 9 and 10, followed by visits to Kajiado on October 15, Turkana on October 26, Kilifi on November 2, and Nairobi on November 9.
“We wish to assure our members, supporters, and the general public that the postponement is meant to strengthen our outreach, deepen inclusivity, and ensure that this milestone in our party’s history is celebrated by all Kenyans, in line with our values of unity, democracy, and participation,” Junet said.
