A man surrendered to police and reported he had stabbed and killed his brother in an altercation at Karinde area, Kikuyu, Kiambu County.

The body of Daniel Kamau Ndungi was found lying in a pool of blood after the murder on October 21, 2025.

Police said the assailant and his deceased brother were at the latter’s house when an altercation broke out over unknown reasons.

The assailant, who is a younger brother, picked up a kitchen knife that he used to stab Ndungi in the abdomen, killing him on the spot. The killing happened in the sitting room where the deceased lay on a mattress on the floor.

According to the police, the assailant later dragged the body to the bedroom where he abandoned it. There were blood stains in the house leading to the bedroom.

Police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. The killer weapon was recovered at the scene.

The suspect was taken to custody pending further grilling and possible arraignment for murder.

Elsewhere in Migosi, Kisumu County, a boda boda rider was found murdered and his body abandoned on the roadside.

The body of Joseph Ondego, 52 was found lying on the roadside off Kibos road with stab wounds in the abdomen on October 23. His motorcycle lay a few meters away from the body together with his two mobile phones.

Police said Ondego was the chairman of a local boda boda stage association based in Nyamita. Some officials had a quarrel over withdrawal of some money without their consent and the matter had been reported to the police.

The officials voted to change the leadership over the saga, which police believe could be the motive of the murder of Ondego.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

Police said they are yet to make an arrest but they were pursuing several leads on the same.
