Detectives are investigating an incident in which a minor was slashed and killed in Nyamusi’s Bokeira village, Nyamira County.

The incident happened on Friday night and left a two-year-old boy with deep head fatal injuries.

Police said the boy was attacked by his aunt following a domestic dispute at their home.

The assailant was found holding the boy’s injured head with a panga that she had used in the attack. She later dropped the panga and escaped the scene, police said.

Police visited the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy. The hunt for the assailant woman is ongoing, police said.

The killer weapon was found at the scene and kept as an exhibit.

In Nalondo, Bungoma County, one Dennis Buluma, 31 was found dead on the Ngalasia-Kibochi road after a suspected murder.

Police said the body had visible injuries on the head, back and chest suspected to have been caused by a blunt object. The motive of the murder is yet to be known.

Police moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

In Sotik, Bomet County, one suspect was arrested over the murder of one Ken Bosco. Bosco had been murdered on June 22, 2025 in an attack. Police said the suspect will be arraigned on October 27, 2025.

And a man died in hospital after he was attacked by a mob on claims he was a thief in Ndumbuini area, Kabete, Kiambu County. The man succumbed to the injuries in hospital hours after he had been moved there by the police on October 25, 2025 in the morning.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an identification and autopsy, police said.

Police discourage mob lynching incidents and want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for processing.
