    Early Life

Born Yasmine Amanda Bleeth on June 14, 1968, in New York City, she seemed destined for show business from infancy—appearing in a Johnson & Johnson “No More Tears” shampoo commercial at just 10 months old. Her mother, Carina, was a professional model, while her father, Philip, ran a successful business.

Yasmine’s early exposure to cameras quickly led to modeling campaigns, including one for Max Factor, and a feature in famed fashion photographer Francesco Scavullo’s book Scavullo Women. Her television debut came at age six on Candid Camera, and by her teens, she was cast in the soap opera Ryan’s Hope (1985–1989), where she appeared in nearly 100 episodes.

Following her mother’s death from breast cancer in 1989, Bleeth took time off before returning to television in One Life to Live (1991–1993).

    Rise to Fame with Baywatch

Yasmine’s career skyrocketed when she joined Baywatch in 1993 as Caroline Holden, sister to Alexandra Paul’s character. Her beauty, charisma, and screen presence made her one of the show’s standout stars during its global peak. She became a pop culture icon, frequently landing on People magazine’s list of “50 Most Beautiful People” and FHM’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World.”

Bleeth’s Baywatch fame also brought numerous film and television opportunities, including roles in A Face to Die For (1996), Heaven or Vegas (1996), BASEketball (1998), and Undercover Angel (1999).

    Television Success

After Baywatch, Yasmine joined the cast of the CBS action series Nash Bridges (1998–2000), portraying Inspector Caitlin Cross alongside Don Johnson and Cheech Marin. She also starred in Titans (2000), an Aaron Spelling primetime drama, though the series lasted just one season.

Over the years, she made guest appearances on Boy Meets World, Veronica’s Closet, and V.I.P., as well as TV movies such as The Lake (1998), Road Rage (1999), and Ultimate Deception (1999).

    Yasmine Bleeth Baywatch Salary

Despite Baywatch being one of the most-watched shows worldwide, the cast salaries were modest. According to the 2024 docuseries After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, actors typically earned about $3,500 per episode, roughly $77,000 per season. Adjusted for inflation, that’s equivalent to around $150,000 today—still modest compared to the show’s global revenue.

    Personal Life

Yasmine’s life took a darker turn in the early 2000s due to a public battle with drug addiction. In 2001, she was arrested in Michigan for driving while impaired and cocaine possession after police discovered narcotics in her vehicle and hotel room. She later pleaded guilty, serving probation and completing 100 hours of community service.

During rehab at the Promises Clinic in Malibu, Bleeth met nightclub owner Paul Cerrito, whom she married in 2002. The two have since maintained a low profile, living a quiet life away from Hollywood.

In her candid 2003 essay Back from My Drugs Hell for Glamour magazine, Yasmine detailed her addiction and recovery journey, saying that “staying off drugs is now part of my life and always will be.”

    Philanthropy and Advocacy

Even at the height of her fame, Yasmine used her platform for good. She became a spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, co-launching the Race for the Cure campaign with the Ford Motor Company and raising millions for breast cancer research. She also supported the Lee National Denim Day campaign, helping to raise $5 million in 1998.

    Awards and Recognition

Bleeth’s work in daytime television earned her two Soap Opera Digest Award nominations—Outstanding Youth Actress (1986) for Ryan’s Hope and Hottest Female Star (1993) for One Life to Live.

    Real Estate and Assets

In 1996, Yasmine purchased a Los Angeles condo for $370,000, which she still owns. Today, that property is estimated to be worth about $1.5 million and serves as her primary residence.
