The disgraced Nation Media Group has finally bowed to public pressure and sacked its Kisumu bureau chief. This was after some NMG staffers accused Emeka Mayaka of raping them and/or demanding sex through coercion.

The editor, Emeka Mayaka, was reportedly sacked on Tuesday 18th April after investigations were carried out. The investigations revealed that the claims of the women were true. The replacement for Emeka Mayaka is Dave Opiyo who has already been dispatched to Kisumu.

Emeka is known to be a close association of Editorial Chief Tom Mshindi.
