Tiffany attended Norwalk High School and Leffingwell Christian High School, and began performing professionally at a very young age.

    Career

Tiffany made her stage debut in 1981, performing with country singer Jack Reeves. While singing at the Palomino Club in Los Angeles, she was discovered by singer-songwriter Hoyt Axton, which helped launch her professional career.

In 1984, she signed a recording contract with producer George Tobin. A year later, she gained national exposure by finishing second on the talent competition Star Search.

    Breakthrough

In 1987, Tiffany released her self-titled debut album “Tiffany.” The album’s second single, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. The album went 4× Platinum in the United States, 5× Platinum in Canada, and Gold in the United Kingdom.

Other hit singles from the album included “Could’ve Been” and “I Saw Him Standing There,” a reworked version of the Beatles classic. Tiffany became the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with a debut album.

Her second album, “Hold an Old Friend’s Hand” (1988), also achieved Platinum certification, producing hits such as “All This Time” and “Radio Romance.”
