Jubilee party presidential aspirant Fred Matiang’i Tuesday called for peaceful, respectful campaigns, urging political actors to reject insults and focus on issue-based engagement with citizens.
He emphasized the need for dignity, unity, and cohesion throughout the electoral period, positioning his presidential bid as one grounded in accountability, service, and results.
He outlined Jubilee’s commitment to nurturing youth leadership, stating that the party is deliberately creating space for young people to participate in governance and decision-making.
He noted that the future of the country depends on empowering a new generation of leaders, adding that Jubilee will ensure free and fair nominations to give all aspirants an equal opportunity.
Matiang’i reaffirmed that his campaign will be anchored on experience and delivery, citing his track record in public service and readiness to steer the country forward.
He said the establishment of strong party structures at the grassroots is key to deepening engagement, strengthening coordination, and bringing leadership closer to the people.
“It ensures faster response to local priorities and more inclusive participation in shaping our collective future.”
At the political level, Jubilee, led by Jeremiah Kioni, has reached an understanding with like-minded opposition partners, including DCP, to run a coordinated but competitive campaign in the Mount Kenya region.
The move is aimed at strengthening democratic choice while consolidating support across key voting blocs.
The leaders were speaking during the Launch of Jubillee party Nyandarua County Headquarters in Olkalau.
Present were former area governor Francis Kimemia, Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta, Deputy Secretary General Zach Kinuthia, and members of the Jubilee Party.
