The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) has invited applications for its 2026 Young Professionals (YP) Programme targeting self- and institution-sponsored young Kenyans.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, the institute said the programme will be conducted on a full-time, physical basis and runs annually, combining coursework with the production and publication of research outputs.
KIPPRA said the training will cover key areas including public policy-making processes, the legislative process, applied research methods, tools for policy analysis, governance structures in a devolved system, monitoring and evaluation, macroeconomic modelling and forecasting, systems of national accounts, and an introduction to Social Accounting Matrix (SAM).
Participants will be required to publish various research outputs upon completion of the programme.
“The objective of the YP Programme is to develop young professionals in public policy research and analysis and offer them an opportunity to gain on-the-job experience, expand their knowledge, leadership skills and build professional networks,” the notice read.
Interested applicants have been advised to visit KIPPRA’s official website for details on divisional focus areas, requirements, and application procedures.
The institute said applications must be submitted by Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
KIPPRA noted that only 10 positions are available under the programme.
