The National Youth Service (NYS) has released the list of shortlisted candidates for various vacancies, including Specialist Officer Cadets (Graduate and Diploma holders) and Private Officers under both technical and general duty categories.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, NYS said interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted on June 30, 2026. The time and venue for the interviews will be communicated directly to the respective candidates.
Candidates have been instructed to present both original and copies of their National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates, curriculum vitae, and any other relevant testimonials.
“The National Youth Service recruitment drive is free and open to all eligible and qualified candidates. Engaging in bribery or any form of corruption to influence the recruitment process is a criminal offence. Any person found canvassing will be disqualified,” the notice reads.
Cadet Category Shortlisted Candidates
In the cadet category, the shortlisted candidates include eight structural engineers, 34 accountants, eight auditors, 39 supply chain management officers, 15 economists/statisticians, seven entrepreneurship officers, six marketing officers, 18 corporate communication officers, and 13 legal officers.
Others include 18 hydrologists, 10 electrical engineers, 20 agricultural officers, 10 livestock production officers, five veterinary officers, 12 project management officers, 29 ICT officers, 10 mechanical engineers, and 75 general duty cadets.
Also listed are two architects, 31 civil engineers, seven quantity surveyors, seven land surveyors, 19 finance officers, 40 ICT Assistant III officers, 11 laboratory technologists, 58 machine operators, eight physiotherapists, 47 records management assistants III, 88 registered community health nursing officers, 33 supply chain management assistant III officers, and 40 registered clinical officers.
Private Officers – Technical and General Duty
In the private technical category, shortlisted candidates include 44 in agriculture, 47 in band services, 13 carpenters, 83 drivers, 45 electricians, 90 masons, 66 motor vehicle mechanics, six panel beaters, 116 plant operators, 44 plumbers, 40 secretaries, and 25 welders.
Additionally, 223 candidates have been shortlisted for general duty private positions.
