Timothy Tarpeh Weah is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger or right-back for Ligue 1 club Marseille, on loan from Serie A side Juventus, and for the United States men’s national team.
Born on February 22, 2000, in Brooklyn, New York, he is the son of Liberian football legend and former President George Weah and his Jamaican-born wife Clar Weah.
Growing up in a multicultural environment across New York and Florida, Timothy has forged his own path in the sport while carrying a famous surname.
Weah is known for his versatility, athleticism, pace, and ability to play on either flank or as a full-back.

Siblings
Timothy is the youngest of three children.
He has two older siblings: an older brother named George Weah Jr. and an older sister named Tita.
Timothy often played alongside his older siblings and cousins in local settings, which helped nurture his early love for the game.

Career
Weah joined the New York Red Bulls academy before moving to Paris Saint-Germain’s youth setup in 2014 at age 14.
He made his professional debut for PSG in 2018 and contributed to Ligue 1 titles and domestic cups.
A successful loan at Celtic in 2019 saw him win a Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup double.
He then transferred to Lille, where he won another Ligue 1 title in 2020-21.
In 2023, Weah joined Juventus, adding the Coppa Italia to his honors. As of 2026, he is on loan at Marseille, continuing to showcase his skills in Ligue 1.
Internationally, he committed to the United States despite his father’s Liberian legacy and has earned over 50 caps, becoming a regular in major tournaments and Nations League campaigns.
