Co-operative Bank Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Gideon Muriuki and National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) Chairman Bishop Dr. Kepha Nyamweya Omae have challenged newly ordained Rev. Lameck Ngunjiri to uphold faith, integrity and humility as he takes on a new leadership role in the church.
The two spoke during the ordination and installation ceremony of Rev. Ngunjiri at Prayers Beyond Boundaries Temple in Ngara, Nairobi, where he was also installed as the Apostolic Leader of Prayers Beyond Boundaries Ministries.
Bishop Omae, who officiated the ceremony, said Christian leadership was a solemn responsibility requiring dependence on God for guidance, wisdom, provision and grace.
He urged Rev. Ngunjiri to remain committed to prayer and the study of Scripture, proclaim the Gospel without compromise and lead by example in the church, family and wider community.
“Christian leadership is a responsibility that demands faithfulness, humility and complete dependence on God,” Bishop Omae said, urging the new Apostolic Leader to remain faithful to his calling.
Dr. Muriuki described the occasion as an important spiritual and family milestone, saying Rev. Ngunjiri’s ordination reflected a journey shaped by faith, perseverance, sacrifice and the support of family and the wider church community.
He said answering God’s call required commitment over time, adding that significant milestones in ministry were rarely achieved without the support of those who stood by the individual through difficult and rewarding seasons.
Dr. Muriuki also stressed that ordination should not be regarded merely as the attainment of a title or position.
Instead, he said, it represented a commitment to serve God and His people with humility, responsibility and integrity.
He congratulated Rev. Ngunjiri on the milestone and encouraged him to remain grounded in faith as he serves the congregation and the wider community.
Dr. Muriuki later joined Joyce Muriuki and PBB founder Evangelist Lucy Wangunjiri in cutting a cake to mark the occasion.
Rev. Ngunjiri expressed gratitude to those who had supported him throughout his ministry journey, particularly his wife, family, church leaders and friends.
He said the ordination was not only an honour but also a renewed call to greater service, commitment and responsibility.
Evangelist Wangunjiri described the ordination as a significant milestone for both Rev. Ngunjiri and the congregation, urging church members to embrace a new season of faith, service and spiritual growth.
The ceremony brought together religious leaders, scholars, public officials, family members and congregants who gathered to witness Rev. Ngunjiri’s ordination and installation and celebrate the beginning of his new chapter of Christian service.
