    Marwane Saâdane is a Moroccan professional footballer born on 17 January 1992 in Mohammedia, Morocco.

    He primarily plays as a centre-back or defensive midfielder and stands approximately 1.85–1.88 metres tall.

    Saâdane currently features for Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League, where he has been a regular since joining in 2019, and has represented the Morocco national team.

    He earned a late call-up to Morocco’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as a replacement for the injured Nayef Aguerd.

    Marwane has a brother named Reda Saâdane.

    Reda has made public appearances showing support for the Moroccan professional football player, discussing Marwane’s career and his call-up to the Morocco national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

    Career

    Saâdane made his professional start with the same club around 2010–2011 before moving to FUS de Rabat (also known as Fath US) in 2011.

    At FUS Rabat he established himself over several seasons, contributing to domestic success and accumulating significant appearances as a reliable defender or midfielder.

    In 2016 he transferred to Turkish side Çaykur Rizespor, where he spent three seasons and gained experience in the Süper Lig and the second tier.

    In 2019 he joined Al-Fateh in Saudi Arabia on a free transfer and has remained there since, becoming a long-serving and consistent presence in the Saudi Pro League with well over 170 league appearances and multiple goals.

    Internationally he progressed through Morocco’s under-20 and under-23 teams before making his senior debut for the Atlas Lions in 2015.

    He has earned roughly 9 to 18 caps depending on the source and counting method, scoring one goal, and participated in competitions including the FIFA Arab Cup.

    Accolades

    With FUS Rabat, Saâdane won the Botola Pro (Moroccan league title) in the 2015–16 season and the Moroccan Throne Cup in 2014.

    At Çaykur Rizespor he helped secure promotion by winning the TFF 1. Lig in 2017–18.

    Representing Morocco he was part of the squad that won the FIFA Arab Cup in 2025 in Qatar.
