Jack Alexander Draper is a British professional tennis player born on 22 December 2001 in Sutton, south London, and raised in nearby Ashtead, Surrey.
He turned professional in 2018 and has established himself as one of Britain’s leading men’s players, achieving a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 4 on 9 June 2025.
Known for his powerful game and strong serve, Draper grew up immersed in tennis through his family.
His mother, Nicky, is a former British junior champion and coach who introduced him to the sport at a very young age, while his father, Roger, is the former chief executive of Sport England and the Lawn Tennis Association.
Draper attended Parkside School and later Reed’s School, and he has credited his early exposure to the game, starting as young as one or two years old by hitting against walls at the club where his mother coached, for shaping his career.
Siblings
Jack has one sibling, an older brother named Ben Draper.
The brothers share a close bond and a striking physical resemblance, both standing at the same height of 6 feet 4 inches, which has led observers to note they could easily be mistaken for twins.
Ben pursued tennis at the collegiate level, competing for the University of California, Berkeley, before undertaking a master’s degree at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
He also competed in junior events, including the boys’ singles at Wimbledon.
Although Ben stepped away from professional play, he transitioned into a key support role as Jack’s agent, managing aspects of his career while their mother oversees other elements such as accounts.

Career
Draper’s junior career peaked with a runner-up finish at the 2018 Wimbledon boys’ singles, reaching a high of world No. 7 in the junior rankings.
After turning pro, he built his ranking through success on the ITF and ATP Challenger circuits, capturing multiple titles at those levels.
His breakthrough on the main tour came in 2024, when he claimed his first ATP title at the Stuttgart Open on grass, defeating Matteo Berrettini in the final, and followed it with a second title at the Vienna Open later that year.
That same season he reached his first Grand Slam semifinal at the US Open, where he faced world No. 1 Jannik Sinner.
In 2025 he elevated his game further by winning his first ATP Masters 1000 title at the Indian Wells Open, defeating Holger Rune in the final, and he also reached the final of the Madrid Open.
He has represented Great Britain in the Davis Cup and competed at the Olympics.
Draper has worked with coaches including James Trotman and, more recently, has been associated with Andy Murray in a coaching capacity.
Accolades
Among Draper’s major achievements are three ATP Tour singles titles, including the prestigious ATP Masters 1000 crown at Indian Wells in 2025, making him only the fifth British man to win a Masters 1000 event.
He has also secured titles at the ATP 500 level in Vienna and the ATP 250 in Stuttgart. His career-high ranking of world No. 4 stands as a landmark, alongside periods as British No. 1.
At Grand Slam level, the 2024 US Open semifinal remains his deepest run to date, complemented by fourth-round appearances at other majors in subsequent seasons.
As a junior he was the 2018 Wimbledon boys’ singles runner-up.
Additional milestones include multiple Challenger and ITF titles that laid the foundation for his rise, as well as consistent representation of Great Britain in team competitions.
