    Mary-Louise Parker was born on August 2, 1964, in Columbia, South Carolina.

    She was the youngest of four children born to Caroline Louise and John Morgan Parker.

    Her father worked as a U.S. Army judge, which meant Parker spent parts of her childhood in several locations. Her family lived in Tennessee, Texas, Thailand, Germany and France.
