Vivien Endemann is a German professional footballer born on 7 August 2001 in Lohne, Lower Saxony, Germany.
She currently represents Women’s Super League club Liverpool and the Germany national team. She is known for her goal-scoring ability, versatility in attack, and grounded personality.
Endemann has risen steadily through the ranks of German women’s football to become an established international player.
Her family played a key supportive role from an early age.
Siblings
Vivien has a sister named Nane Endemann.
Nane has spoken openly about her initial doubts regarding Vivien’s move to the high-profile environment of VfL Wolfsburg.
She noted that while she wished her sister success, the presence of so many established stars in the squad made the transition seem surprising at first.
Their father, Werner Endemann, has similarly discussed Vivien’s early passion for the game. He has recalled the family’s decision to enroll her at TV Dinklage at around the age of five.
Career
Endemann began her football journey at local club TV Dinklage. She later progressed through the youth ranks of Werder Bremen.
At Werder Bremen, she featured in the B-Juniorinnen Bundesliga.
She also made early appearances for the club’s second team in the Regionalliga Nord during the 2017–18 season.

In 2018, she moved to regional league side TV Jahn Delmenhorst. She enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 20 goals in 21 matches.
Her form earned her a transfer to SV Meppen.
At Meppen, she gained experience in the second and then first division of German women’s football.
Her time at the club included a brief Bundesliga stint that ended in relegation.
In 2021, she joined SGS Essen. She spent two years at the club, refining her game and contributing consistently as a forward.
In the summer of 2023, she signed for VfL Wolfsburg, one of Europe’s leading women’s clubs.
Over three seasons, she established herself as a regular contributor.
She scored regularly in the Frauen-Bundesliga and featured in UEFA Women’s Champions League campaigns. She helped Wolfsburg win the DFB-Pokal in the 2023–24 season.
At international level, Endemann represented Germany at under-19 level in 2020. She earned her senior debut on 28 February 2024.
Her debut came in a UEFA Women’s Nations League third-place match against the Netherlands. Germany won the match to secure qualification for the Olympic Games.
Later that year, she was part of the German squad at the Paris Olympics.
In April 2026, it was announced that she would join Liverpool on a free transfer when her Wolfsburg contract expired that summer.
Accolades
With VfL Wolfsburg, Endemann won the DFB-Pokal in the 2023–24 season.
At international level, she contributed to Germany’s bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
She also contributed to Germany’s third-place finish in the 2023–24 UEFA Women’s Nations League.
For her Olympic success, she and her teammates received the Silbernes Lorbeerblatt in November 2024.
The award is Germany’s highest sports honour and was presented by the Federal President.
