The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has issued a fresh notice to customs agents whose licences are set to expire at the end of 2026.
KRA said the licences will expire on December 31, 2026, except for three-year Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) licences.
The tax authority reminded customs agents that provisions governing the licensing of customs agents are contained in Section 145 of the East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004, and Regulations 149 to 152 of the East African Community Customs Management Regulations, 2010.
KRA said all licensed customs agents seeking renewal are required to submit their applications through the Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS) platform.
“The application for renewal is for all Licensed Customs agents and should be submitted through Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS) platform, on or before 31st October, 2026,” KRA said.
The authority urged customs agents to submit their applications before the deadline to facilitate the renewal process.
The applications must be accompanied by a duly filled Form C20, which is available on the KRA website.
Applicants are also required to provide a current 2026 Certificate of Registration (CR12/CR13), a valid Tax Compliance Certificate for the company and a Certificate of Bond and Debt Clearance.
They must further submit a copy of their previous C21 licence and a KIFWA Clearance Certificate for the year of application.
