    Ugandan Maid Pleads not Guilty to Killing Her Employer’s Baby

    A Ugandan maid accused of killing her employer and a three month old baby has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder.

    Jackline Auma appeared before Justice Fred Ochieng at the Kisumu High court and was charged with killing Elizabeth Ochieng and Baby Benedict Ojoth in Shauri Yako estate on June 6th 2018.

    Auma underwent mental assessment and was cleared to answer to the charges.

    Prosecutor Peter Mui opposed a plea for the accussed to be realsead on bond saying she was a flight risk since she fled to Uganda after allegedly committing the offence.

    Justice Fred Ochieng granted the prosecutions prayer denying the accused bail on the said grounds.

    The hearing is set for 6th of November 2018.
