    Twalib Abdallah Mbarak Nominated As EACC’s Next CEO

    The Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC) has nominated ex-millitary intelligence officer, Twalib Abdallah Mbarak as the new CEO, to be approved by parliament.

    The former military officer is currently the Security and Integrity Manager at the KenGen. He holds a masters degree of arts in armed conflict and peace studies.

    The approved CEO will take over from Halakhe Waqo who was the commission’s first CEO since its establishment in 2012 when it replaced the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission.

    Among the others who were shortlisted for the interview included the current Deputy Chief Executive, Michael Mubea and former National Police Service Commission (NPSC) commissioner, Mr Murshid Mohamed.
