Brookeside Dairies through their brand “Tuzo” is set to return as Gor Mahia’s second sponsor, Kahawa Tungu can reveal.

Talks between the two parties are reportedly at an advanced stage with just a few loose ends being firmed up before the official unveiling.

“It’s true Tuzo are coming back. They will be unveiled very soon,” a source disclosed.

In 2011,Tuzo signed a two-year deal worth Ksh 38million with the record KPL champions as their official shirt sponsor. It was further extended for a year in 2013 for Ksh 29million before they parted ways in 2014.

It was during the partnership with Tuzo that K’Ogalo to brake a 18-year jinx to win the KPL title in 2013 and managed to keep it for two more seasons without a sponsor.

Betting giant SportPesa is the current official shirt sponsor of Gor Mahia and their logo occupies the front part of their jersey. The deal is worth Ksh 65million per year.

Tuzo is reportedly bringing on the table Ksh40million per year for three years. SportPesa honchos are believed to have been involved in the securing the deal.

Gor Mahia have lately attracted a lot of positive attention thanks to their on the field exploits. The team is currently representing the country in Caf Confederation Cup and after two rounds of matches they are perched at the top of Group D standings with six points from two wins.

SportPesa unfortunately cannot milk the publicity by displaying their logo during the Confederation Cup matches since Caf is sponsored by a rival betting company 1XBet.

K’Ogalo famously beat fancied Zamalek of Egypt 4-2 in their group opener before brushing aside NA Hussein Dey of Algeria 2-0 last Sunday.

Today they leave for Algeria for the second leg match against NA Hussein Dey on Sunday.
