DCI director George Kinoti has previously noted that Kenyans have lost Ksh21 billion through dubious means, hence the intensive investigations being carried out.
However, the government led by the Deputy President William Ruto have refuted the claims that the money lost was Ksh21 billion, asserting that the money lost is Ksh7 billion.
Following the investigations, Treasury CS Henry Rotich was also summoned by the DCI for 3 days concerning the dams.
