    Tanzania Offers Land Reward To Taifa Stars Players After Afcon Qualification

    Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli has rewarded Taifa Stars players with pieces of land each following their historic qualification for the 2019 Afcon.

    Stars made the cut for the first time in 39 years after thumping neighbours Uganda Cranes 3-0 in their final Group L qualifying game on Sunday at the Uhuru Stadium, Dar.

    “I have been touched by this team for reaching the Afcon finals and have decided to reward each one of them with pieces of land to build houses,” Goal quoted the head of state.

    Tanzania joined three other East African nations namely Uganda, Kenya and Burundi in qualifying for the 32nd edition of the continental showpiece set for June/Juy in Egypt.
