    Githurai Alleged Drug Dealer Simon Kariuki ‘Tony’ Arrested

    Mr Simon Kariuki Wangeci alias Tony, an alleged drug dealer in Githurai 44, Nairobi, has been arrested with two assistants in his home.

    According to the police, Tony is rated among the top suppliers of bhang in Kiambu and Nairobi counties.

    He was nabbed together with his two workers while packing bhang. Also, a load of cash was recoverd during the operation that entailed officers drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)  and the regular police.

    “We have managed to arrest the main suspect and nab a huge amount of bhang,” said Kasarani OCPD Peter Kimani.

    Kasarani DCIO Kasarani Mwenda was also present during the operation.

    On a different account, sleuths from the DCI yesterday intercepted a motor vehicle along Mpaka Road in Parklands on suspicion of having fake registration numbers and arrested two suspects; Ms Faith Harrison and MrHarrison Kungu. Documents in their possession showed different registration.

    A quick search of the vehicle recovered cash, several US Dollars with United Nations stamp and other items. Ms Faith  claimed to be on secondment from National Treasury to County government of Kiambu as Chief Officer Finance and Mr Kungu claimed to be an employee of Kiambu County.

    The two suspects denied that they owned the cash that was found in the vehicle.
