    Pheodor Mundia Replaces Maggie Ireri At The Helm Of Marketing Society of Kenya

    Pheodor Mundia Njoroge, the strategic business manager to the managing director at Unilever East Africa, will replace Maggie Ireri as the chairperson of the Marketing Society of Kenya.

    Maggie Ireri is a director at TIFA Research.

    The changes were made public as the body announced its Board of Directors for 2019 through 2021.

    Carolyne Kendi who is head of brand, marketing & communication at Safaricom, Joseph Karamoja who is the Vice President and Head of Marketing, PR & Communications at SBM Bank, and Charles Kariuki who is the managing director at AAR Healthcare were also elected to the board among other members.

    “My vision is to strengthen the voice of the marketers within the country on issues that matter to us and the brands we drive. Am calling on all marketing forums to collaborate with us and each other to drive better engagement and the marketing fraternity as a whole. With such collaboration we can champion to professionalize the Society through a charter that will strengthen it in Kenya,” Mr Njoroge said.

    The immediate task for the new board is to improve the profile of the society, in addition to growing the society’s membership and revenue projections in the coming years.

    Marketing Society of Kenya is the national umbrella body for all marketers in Kenya whose key mandate is to regulate the marketing industry by creating policy that governs the Marketing Industry, education and training of professionals, corporate organisations and entrepreneurs.
