Milele FM Presenter Alex Mwakideu has finally addressed the allegations that he was unfaithful in his marriage following an expose by blogger Edgar Obare.

In a detailed interview with NTV’s Dr King’ori, Mwakideu stated that following the outbreak of the rumours, he was worried his family would be affected.

For instance, he narrated that his wife kept calling his phone to ascertain whether the rumours were true and all he could do was ask her to calm down.

Mwakideu further indicated that upon reaching home, his wife asked for his social media passwords and he handed them to her.

“I gave it to her as well as my Instagram password and showed her my Whatsapp messages. At the moment, if anyone sends a message on my Instagram, my wife can respond to you,” he added.

The radio presenter further stated that there was nothing wrong with what Obare was doing and urged him to keep doing what he did. This contradicted his earlier statement where he had accused Obare of breaking up families.

Further, he urged Kenyans to check on their friends and people who have been caught up in the social media rumours and blogs intimating that going through that is such a tough time.

“There’s no problem. Let him (Edgar Obare) keep doing what he is doing. Do not allow social media to make you disloyal to your friends because it is just a passing cloud,” he said.

In May, blogger Obare threw the social media into a frenzy with detailed screenshots of Mwakideu’s cheating scandal.

The screenshots alleged that Mwakideu was having a fling with his co-worker and ideally hinted that they were meeting on an occasional basis. The same week, Obare had also exposed Jalang’o under the same grounds.
