    Ali Chirau MakwereAli Chirau Makwere has been ordered by the High Court in Kwale to pay costs amounting to Sh2.5 million after a petition that was filed by voter challenging the election of Kwale governor Salim Mvurya was struck out.

    The judge said that the petition filed by Mbwana Mwamlole was defective and incurable and could not hold legal ground.

    Chirau Makwere was the gubernatorial candidate for wiper and attempted to unseat governor Salim Mvurya.

    This comes after Martha Karua ‘s petition was struck out by the High court in Kerugoya for the same reasons of being defective and incurable. Martha Karua vowed to appeal as she said that she would exhaust her legal options before she is satisfied.
