Angry passengers caused a stir on Limuru Nairobi Road after they attacked the driver of the matatu they were traveling in for reckless driving.

In a video seen by Kahawa Tungu the irate passengers are seen chasing the driver, accusing him of putting their lives in danger.

The drama caused a traffic snarl on the road for minutes before the situation resumed to normal.

“Anataka kutuua?(Loosely translated as: He wants to kill us),” one passenger giving the chase says angrily.

In a rejoinder, another angry passenger says,  “Tumemkataza, ameambiwa mara ngapi asikimbie (How many times did we warn him of speeding).”

In the background, some passengers are heard requesting the angry men not to harm him.

The passengers disclosed that their pleas to have the driver observe road safety rules fell on deaf ears, informing their decision to confront him.

The 14-seater matatu with registration number KCL 740 B is said to belong to Lina SACCO.

    Here’s the video.

The incident, comes hours after two separate accidents in Narok and Kitui counties claimed 10 lives on Sunday.
