City lawyer Assa Nyakundi has been discharged from Nairobi Hospital where he has been receiving treatment for a high blood pressure complication for the past six weeks.

Nyakundi is being held at Muthaiga police station as he awaits arraignment today.

He is the key suspect in his son Joseph Nyakundi’s murder.

The advocate who last week granted the Nation an interview, noted that going to prison does not come close to the loss of a child.

He also maintained that the shooting was an accident contrary to an autopsy report that showed that the deceased was shot from outside following an altercation.

Nyakundi was supposed to show up at a Makadara Court as ordered by Senior Principal Magistrate Angelo Githinji some two weeks ago.

The Nation reports that the DCI officers have been having a tough time collecting Nyakundi’s fingerprints as is required before presenting an individual in court.
