Francis Atwoli, Secretary general COTU has said they will move to court to protest the actions of newly elected governors sacking employees who campaigned against them.

COTU said the actions were unfortunate, unacceptable and unlawful.

Governors Cornel Rasanga, Alfred Mutua, Mike Sonko, Kiraitu Murungi,Cyprian Awiti, Ferdinand Waititu and Muthomi Njuki have sacked over 2000 staff in their respective counties.

Atwoli said that their actions were setting a wrong precedent where professionals are placed at the mercy of governors and risk being sacked unlawfully.
