Uganda n police have charged eight members of the  Red Pepper tabloid with treason for a story done by the publication house alleging that Yoweri Museveni was plotting to oust Rwandan president Paul Kagame The managers were also accused of publishing offensive communication and publication of information prejudicial to national security. The Ugandan police Emillian Kayima spokesperson confirmed that people who were directors and editors of the Publication have been arrested and charged with treason. Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria has declared that he will sack all clinicians who refer patients to go to private laboratories for tests  that are available in the Murang’a General Hospital. He said that the clinicians were contravening the medical practitioners code of conduct by collaborating with private clinics  and laboratories to extort patients. Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso had a hard time conducting  prayers at the Bomet stadium to celebrate the Supreme court decision to uphold the reelection of Uhuru as president. Police have today morning lobbed tear gas canisters at a group believed to be of the Maasai protesting over the killing of their cows by in Laikipia .The killings that happened earlier this month. The Central bank of Kenya (CBK) has been given a go ahead to open bids for the printing of the new design currency. Judge Chacha Mwita had earlier struck out an application by De La Rue and another company who had applied to stop CBK from opening up the bidding process.
