The Director of Public prosecutions (DPP) through senior assistant prosecutor Alexander Muteti said that they intend to appeal the High court decision that barred them from arresting the Mombasa governor Hassan Joho over a forged result slip. The ruling by Justice Eric Ogola said that the office of DPP was acting fraudulently in reinstating the case saying that it was untimely and politically motivated and that it was not consistent with the constitutional values. The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) has launched a report dubbed the ‘Mirage at Dusk’ which seeks highlights the issues that came out in the August 8 Poll.The report shed light on various election offenses that the human rights body documented as they monitored the elections. Education CS Fred Matiang’i has said that parents are set to get relief as the lowered school fee structure will be released in December.
