A French court in Nanterre has found Congolese singer Koffi Olomide guilty of statutory rape. The singer was accused of raping one of his dancers when she was 15 years of age. The court handed the musician a 2 year suspended jail term,this means that the singer will only be arrested is he commits a similar offense. PCEA Hospital in Kikuyu is on the spot for retaining the body of Moses Githinji who died in January despite the family paying part of the bill owed to the hospital. The hospital failed to release the body even after the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist board (KMPDU) wrote a letter to the hospital to release the body for burial. The KMPDU said that the hospital was in breach of the professional code of conduct which states that doctors are not allowed to hold bodies for nonpayment of bills. Nyabururu girls High school is said to have buried rotten cabbages after a bout of food poisoning that was reported in the school. Distraught parents stormed the school on Sunday after learning that 12 students had been admitted at Nyangena Hospital in Kisii county. Parents of students attending Nyabururu girls have complained that their children had been taken to hospital to treat food poisoning without their knowledge. The Kenya Bureau of Standard (KEBS) have launched investigations on the quality Always Pads that are being supplied to the Kenyan market. The bureau has collected about 135 samples for testing. It is said that 90 of the collected samples had complied with KEBS. The director of public prosecution Noordin Haji while appearing on the Jeff Koinange Live TV show said that his office had changed tact on how to deal with corruption matters.
