A chief in Marsabit was burnt to death by unknown assailants as he attended the burial of two Kenya Police Reservist officers who were killed in a bandit attack on Saturday. The chief of Dirip Gombo Location George Biqa was attacked by people who called him a traitor that descended on him with blows before setting him on fire. Police investigating the matter have linked the attack on the recent clashes between the Gabra and Borana communities. The Director of Public prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji has ordered an investigation into the loss Sh. 1.2 Billion from the Kenya forest services. The money was lost after fraudulent dealings between the Kenya forest service and saw millers. In October, the Kenya Forest Services said that the saw millers had accumulated the debt from 2012 and that they were out to collect. Justice Chacha Mwita has ruled that controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna was unlawfully removed from Kenya as he is a Kenyan citizen. He stated that citizenship by birth could not be revoked. “Even if the petitioner (Miguna) acquired Canadian citizenship, he did not lose his Kenya citizenship. He remains a citizen of Kenya,” Justice Mwita stated. The High court also said that holding Miguna Miguna in incommunicado and failing to produce him in court was a violation of the lawyer’s rights. A thirteen year old boy from Ndia Constituency has committed suicide after failing to get acceptance to his dream secondary school. The boy had scored 313 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and was called to join a school he did not aspire to go to. Martin Ndung’u has  threatened to institute a class action against Safaricom and demanded that the telecommunication company pays Sh10000 or inconveniences caused during the the M-Pesa  outage on December 8.
