Senior Counsel James Orengo who is acting for Deputy Chief Justice Philomena has objected to queens counsel Qureshi Khawar prosecuting the case. The senior counsel argued that the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji usurped the powers of the attorney general in making the appointment. Nairobi county has adjusted taxes within the CBD in a quest to collect more revenue. In the review, motorists are the biggest beneficiaries as parking fees is expected to go down. The finance bill introduced by the county government will see parking fees from reuduced from Ksh300 to Ks200.
