Senior Counsel James Orengo who is acting for Deputy Chief Justice Philomena has objected to queens counsel Qureshi Khawar prosecuting the case. The senior counsel argued that the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji usurped the powers of the attorney general in making the appointment. Nairobi county has adjusted taxes within the CBD in a quest to collect more revenue. In the review, motorists are the biggest beneficiaries as parking fees is expected to go down. The finance bill introduced by the county government will see parking fees from reuduced from Ksh300 to Ks200.  The fee for approval of building plans was set at 0.5 per cent of the construction cost which is a reduction of 2.5 per cent. A mini bus from the Super Metro Sacco has plunged into a ditch along the busy Waiyaki way. The early morning rains made the roads very slippery leading to the accident. The famous Natives sports bar and grill located along Thika Road has been demolished after a land row between the management and the land owner. Trouble started six month ago when the land owner allegedly refused to renew the lease for the famous chill spot. The directors were trying to get a new contract with the landowner to allow for expansion. A scuffle ensued in Mombasa where the Nairobi MCAs are attending a committee meeting.
