Police have seized 25 million fake US dollars in Nairobi’s South B estate. Henry Omoaka, a Nigerian national was arrested at Malaika Apartments with fake notes of USD251,400. He denied claims of laundering fake notes saying that he had been set up by some Kenyans and Nigerians. He was also found with outdated travel documents. Popular Kikuyu musician Joseph Kamaru has died at the MP Shah hospital while receiving treatment. The 79-year old benga musician was admitted at the hospital on Monday. According to his son Stephen Maina, Kamaru developed breaking difficulties and succumbed at around 9 PM on Wednesday night. The Kangema born musician will be remembered for his hits Ndari ya Mwalimu and Tiga kuhenia igoyi which have  shaped the Kenyan benga music scene and Kikuyu culture. The Head of the Public Service Commission, Joseph Kinyua has directed that Public servants would be required to have the E-passport by February 28 of 2019. He said that the public servants who will not have migrated  to the  E-passports will not be cleared for travel and will not travel until after September 1. This directive applies to all Public servants including cabinet secretaries, governors, principal secretaries, accountants and all members of independent commissions. Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru wants hairdresser Josephine Kabura to reveal who pushed her to lie in an affidavit implicating the former cabinet secretary to the NYS scandal. The law society of Kenya (LSK) has sued the government over the passing of the Finance Act of 2018. The chairman Allen Gichuhi said that the Bill would affect the cost of living.
