Police are looking for journalist Jacque Maribe after her fiance Joe Irungu was arrested and linked to the murder of 29 year old Monica Kimani. Officers said that they need the journalist to report to the police station to make a statement. The journalist has been missing from her work place at Royal Media stations and efforts to contact her via her phone were futile as the calls went unanswered. The court has ordered that journalist Jacque Maribe’s fiance, Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu be detained at Muthaiga police station pending investigations. His lawyers had claimed that he needed medical attention on the gun shot wounds. Governor Obado set to spend more nights in prison after  Justice Lesiit said that she will make a ruling on the bail application on Thursday 27 at 2p.m. The prosecution argued that the governors release would cause public discomfort especially in Migori county as there would be a clash between his supporters and non supporters. Migori governor Okoth Obado has taken a plea of not guilty in the murder of pregnant lover Sharon Otieno. He was charged with murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the penal court where him and others not before court are accused of murdering the 26 year old. His lawyers had made an application for bail but the investigating officer has sworn an affidavit to deny this application. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has disputed claims by the former deputy governor Jonathan Mueke who had claimed that the plans to upgrade Pumwani Maternity Hospital started in their regime but failed because National treasury and the Public Private partnership secretariat failed to approve the project. Nairobi  governor Mike Sonko has said that he intends to rebrand the Pumwani hospital. It will no longer be referred to Pumwani Maternity hospital and will now be Sonko Pumwani Women’s Hospital and College of Nursing and Midwifery.
