University of Nairobi students are  currently on State house road demonstrating  over the delayed disbursement of  funds given by the Higher education loans board (HELB). Yvonne Wamalwa, widow of the late vice president Micheal Wamalwa has passed on. Sources close to the family have revealed that she died at her sisters house in Nanyuki. Family and friends are currently making arrangements to airlift her remains to the Lee funeral home. The cause of death is yet to be established. Yvonne Nambia Wamalwa was the wife of the eighth vice president of Kenya Micheal Kijana Wamalwa who died  in 2003 affter winning the general election under the National rainbow alliance. Governor Sonko has stated that no group will be given access to Uhuru park on January 30. This statement was made in response to the medical camp planned by Moses Kuria and the Nairobi business community. “No group will be allowed into Uhuru Park as we are currently doing renovations at the facility to improve its terraces and grass,the contractor is already on the ground,” the governor said. Kenya Railways police seem to be a busy lot, after sources intimated to Kahawa Tungu that they have been arresting passengers for using their mobile phones after alighting from the trains. The police also arrested railway staff for the same ‘offense’ yet the regulations for using the mode of transport have not sensitized the train users or the staff on this rule yet the railway police are quick to pounce on passengers who are unaware of such regulations. Several students in Jamhuri High school have been injured after a fight broke out between Christian students and Muslim students. Raed: NEMA Shuts Down Kiza, Space Lounge, Jiweke Tavern And B Club For Noise Pollution It is alleged that the Muslim students were forcefully trying to induct the christian students into their Islam faith. Nakumatt has received some reprieve after the High court allowed creditors to select a n administrators to manage the stranded retailer. The court has ordered that Peter Obondo Kahi to be appointed as an administrator and he would be responsible for making sure that all the creditors meet within the next 60 days.
