Ezekiel Mutua has equated the number of clearance certificates that new job seekers have to acquire to get government jobs is morally wrong. He is of the opinion that these requirements should be restricted to senior positions.
He said that the CEOs and PS and anyone employed by the constraints of chapter six of the constitution.
For someone to be employed at entry level to a government position one needs to get clearance from the directorate of criminal investigations, Higher education loans board clearance, Ethics and Anti corruption commission clearance and finally clearance from the credit reference Bureau. Each of this clearance certificates required a certain amount of money to get them.
He said that he would never ask a fresh graduate to produce all this clearance certificates yet they cant even afford the money required to get them. The Kenya Films and classification board CEO said that employers should stop oppressing the oppressed.
