Flamboyant businessman Henry Waswa stunned Kitui town after he landed with four choppers to pay bride price for his fiancee Moreen Tabitha. Residents of Nzatani village in Kitui were left in awe after the business man showed up with four choppers accompanied by a fleet of cars on standby. An accident along the Thika Garissa highway has claimed 17 lives. The accident happened on Sunday night. According to the police at the Ngoliba police station the accident was caused after a matatu belonging to Kinatwa Sacco tried to swerve to avoid hitting a motorcycle. The matatu the rammed head on collision to an on coming lorry. The driver and his ten passengers died on the spot. The parliamentary service commission (PSC) has taken the salaries and remuneration commission (SRC) to court over the pay cut and reduced allowances that the SRC had gazetted In July. The prices of fuel are set to increase starting midnight December14 and are expected go up until January 14 when the next review will be done. The Price of super petrol will go up by Sh.1.47 to retail at 103.14, Kerosene increased with Sh. 0.19 and petrol to Sh.0.03.
