A woman claiming to be the second wife of deceased former Belgut MP Eric Keter has moved to court to cancel the burial of the former legislator. In sworn affidavit Ms. Rosemary Koros asked the court to cancel all burial plans until the issues she presented are heard and determined. She claims that she married Eric Keter under Kipsigis customary law and that the marriage bore four children. Rosemary Koros said the ceremony took place in 1996. His supporters were enraged when Nasa released information that Raila Odinga’s swearing in fete set for today had been postponed. Social media was awash with utter dismay, anger, disappointment pointing at a corroding support base, dwindling by the day. The supreme court say that Raila Odinga’s withdrawal and that his letter of withdrawal only showed intent and was not legally binding. Justice Smokin Wanjala said that the constitution does not contemplate withdrawal from an elections. Daystar University has today (Friday 8 December) closed for the second time within a month over students protest. The head of corporate affairs in the institution Damaris Kimilu said that the decision was made after the students continued boycotting classes. This move will solve the problem that most principals had of taking a limited intake because of accommodation facilities. Kisumu residents have protested over claims that  Kenya breweries limited in the county had failed to hire locals. Nairobi county assembly members (MCAs) have demanded that they be given unsecured car loans and mortgages. They said that they do not understand why they were being asked for logbooks in order to access the loans. The leader of majority Abdi Guyo accused his colleagues of trying to obtain the loans illegally. Thieves have raided the grave of the late Ivan Ssemwanga who was the ex husband of socialite and business woman Zari  Hassan. Ivan was buried in a lavish funeral with members of his Rich gang crew throwing millions inside the grave.
