Mwangi Wa Iria, a presidential candidate for the Usawa Kwa Wote party, blocked the entrance to Kenya’s Bomas on Monday. Eight police officers are scheduled to be arraigned on charges ranging from murder to assault. This is following investigations by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA). According to IPOA, the offenses are from various parts of the country. The court in Migori issued summonses against four police officers, instructing the County Commander to ensure that they appear in court on June 7, 2022. William Kamoti, the Rabai Member of Parliament, has died. Reports indicate that the legislator perished in a road accident on Sunday evening, near Kilifi town on the Mombasa-Malindi highway at stage ya Maziwa. Jonathan Koech, the police chief of Kilifi North Sub-County, confirmed his death. Meanwhile, the deceased’s driver is receiving treatment at the Kilifi County hospital. A man has been arrested and charged for allegedly threatening to kill his former employer. Court documents show that Douglas Mbohani threatened to harm Edith Mukunya at her hotel in Toi market in Kibera, Nairobi on May 18, 2022. The Senate has cleared Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) of any wrongdoing in the death of Ken Walibora, a scholar and former journalist. Prof Walibora died at the facility in April of 2020 after being hit by a car along Landhies Road.
