Naivas Supermarkets chairman Simon Gashwe Mukuha has died. Mr Gashwe is said to have passed on while receiving treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital. It is said that he suffered a stroke on Saturday before succumbing on Monday evening. The bereaved family has promised to divulge burial arrangements at a later date. Gashwe was one of the four directors with a 25 per cent stake in one of Kenya’s largest supermarkets. Naivas founder Peter Kago, died in 2010 and left his children in charge of the business. Three people have been arrested for obtaining Sh2 million from a Westlands couple under false pretence. Titus Fedha, Haji Shariff and Suleiman Mzava were arrested by detectives from Parklands Police Station. The trio had promised the complainants that they were in a position to get rid of witchcraft from an undisclosed property that they intended to sell. Jubilee Party has denounced a letter listing  Kibra MP candidates. On the list was ex Inter Milan player McDonald Mariga. But according to the party secretary general Raphael Tuju, the letter is fake and should be treated with contempt. “This letter doing rounds online is fake news. Kenyan athlete David Rudisha was on Saturday involved in a road accident along the Kisii-Keroka highway, a few kilometres from Keroka town. The 800 metres Olympic record holder was in his blue Landcruiser V8 which collided head-on with a bus belonging to Easy Coach. According to the police, Rudisha was treated at Keroka Sub County Hospital and discharged. He was later taken to Nairobi for further tests.
