The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has summoned 41 members of the Siaya County Assembly over a trip they allegedly made to Uganda earlier on in the year. The ward representatives are expected to present themselves at the commission’s Kisumu offices on Monday to help with investigations. The trip cost the county government a whooping Sh8.2 million. The MCAs are also said to have received Sh200,000 each during the trip. A woman, Dorcus Nduku, was arraigned at the Kibera law courts  for allegedly causing disturbance at Wilson Airport after she stripped naked to get the attention of director and owner of the Kenya Aeronautical College. Nduku claimed that the said director was her lover and that the complainant had made her to be lieve that she was his wife for close to 13 years. The body of Chris Atema Masaka, son of Ikolomani MP Bernard Shinali will be flown to Kenya on Wednesday. The deceased drowned in a swimming pool on July 26 as he tried saving a Canadian girl. A Tanzanian journalist and fierce critic of President John Magufuli was on Friday charged with sedition under cybercrime laws. Erick Kabendera was on Monday arrested at his home in Dar es Salaam in the presence of his wife by six men claiming to be policemen. He was held for hours and questioned about his citizenship. The late Kibra MP Ken Okoth has been cremated at a Kariokor crematorium. According to the Citizen, the deceased’s remains were moved from Lee Funeral Home at around 4 am and later taken to the crematorium. A family member Kevin Oluoch who spoke to a reporter, said that Okoth’s mother Angelina Ajwang’ was unaware of the plan to cremate her son.
