A police officer is being held at a station in Nairobi after he was said to have been extorting bar owners along Lang’ata Road. The deceased on July 24 shared what seemed like a distress message on social media. “It’s all f**king B***shit!!,” he wrote. Tanzania will supply Kenya with a million tonnes of maize and flour to curb a food shortage, her Agriculture Minister Hussein Bashe told reporters. According to the minister, at least 20,000 tons will be sold next month after a meeting with representatives from both countries. Mr Bashe did not however disclose the prices of the bags of maize. 40 percent of Kenyans place bets on a daily basis with 84 percent using their earnings. This is according to an Infotrack survey released on Thursday. According to the survey 74 percent of the gamblers are men with the women’s participation standing at 26 per cent.
