The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU) wants the government to pull the plug on deal with Cuba. This is following the death of a Kenyan medic, Dr Ali Juma who was found dead in his hostel in Havana. According to the KMPDU secretary general, Ouma Oluga, the programme that was going to see the government cough up Sh215 million “has proven not beneficial” to Kenyan doctors. An unknown number of students of Kenyatta University were on Monday rushed to the hospital following a stampede at the institution’s library. There was panic after a lift malfunctioned while on the third floor of the building and later collapsing to the ground. The loud bang had students and faculty members scampering for safety. A former street urchin whose story went viral on the interwebs, has died Patrick Hinga who had for the longest time roamed the streets of Wangige market, was rescued by a former classmate, Faith Ng’ang’a in 2017. A 40 year old man on Friday night killed his father after he allegedly sold a piece of land without consulting him. The deceased, Charles Mararo was dragged out of his home last night and with one strike was no more. Patrick Nyapara was apprehended ass he tried to sneak into Uganda on Saturday afternoon.
