A Nairobi MCA has allegedly been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a former student leader, Samuel Ragira alias OCS Ragira. The Kilimani ward rep Moses Ogeto is allegedly in custody after Ragira, former University of Nairobi student leader was shot dead outside Club 36 located opposite Nairobi Primary School. A 20 year old woman on Wednesday gave birth at Uhuru Park after losing her hotel job and later kicked out of a lodging in Nairobi’s Muthurwa area because she could not raise Sh50. President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed retired Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet as Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS), Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife. Joseph Irungu alias Jowie who was in 2018 charged alongside his fiancee and Citizen TV’s Jacque Maribe with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, has withdrawn his bail application. Jowie has been in remand for close to six months as Maribe was released on a Sh1 million cash bail by Justice James Wakiaga. Dr Stella Bosire failed to submit her credentials before the board citing her reservations in working with Sonko. A man on Monday shocked many after he told a Nairobi court that President Uhuru Kenyatta will die in exactly eight days should he not call on God before March 19, 2019. UN Environment Programme (UNEP) delegates on Monday observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the 19 victims of Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET 302 plane crash. A number of the 19 UN workers were on their way to Nairobi to provide support and participate in the UN Environment Assembly. “We are making provisions for assisting the families of the victims, providing counselling and mobilizing any other support that may be necessary at this difficult time,” UNEP said in a statement.
