Willy Paul’s neighbor has come out to slam allegations of an upcoming ‘reality show’ saying that the Gospel singer was acting out of pure violence. Members of the Homa Bay county assembly have impeached the speaker, Elizabeth Ayoo. The ward representatives have accused the speaker of mistreatment, frequent adjournments among other reasons. The European Union Ambassador to Kenya has given a grant of KSh5 billion to go towards the Nairobi Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) project. EU Ambassador to Kenya Stefano Dejak said this during the launch of the Muratina road in Eastleigh. “One thing that Nairobi needs is an effective bus rapid transport system. That is why EU has invested Sh5 billion grant to make sure Nairobi residents have a safe, none polluting transport system devoid of jams,” Dejak said. A politician’s wife has accused one of her domestic workers of stealing Sh5 million from her Spring Valley, Nairobi home on or before October 7, 2018. Homa Bay County’s Deputy Sergeant At Arms, Idah Adhiambo Arodi is facing Charges of stealing the county assembly mace. Ms  Arodi was arrested on Sunday and brought before the Homa Bay Principal Magistrate Susan Ndegwa on Wednesday. She was charged for stealing the county mace which costs upto KSh800,000. Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe is yet to be released despite being freed by court on bail on Tuesday, her friend Dennis Itumbi has revealed. A 51-seater Simba Coach bus caught fire on Wednesday morning at Ivingoni, Kibwezi. The Mombasa bound bus burst into flames but all the 47 passengers on board escaped unhurt. “They all got out of the bus safely and removed their luggage before the fire spread and consumed the whole vehicle,” Makueni county police commander Joseph Napeiyan said. President Uhuru has ordered the Kenya Revenue Authority to audit its employees living ‘large’ yet they pay little taxes. Speaking during the official launch the integrated tax system for KRA, President Uhuru issued a warning to officials saying that those found guilty of reporting less income, will be charged in court. He urged that those whose lifestyles do not reflect the tax they pay must declare the source of their wealth and contribute accordingly. The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has opened investigations into 18 shootings that took place over the weekend. In a statement by the authority’s head of communications, Dennis Oketch, the shootings carried out by police officers will be investigated and those found culpable will “face the full force of the law.” “Upon conclusion, if culpability is found, the Authority will ensure the responsible officers face the full force of the law trough appropriate criminal and/or disciplinary recommendations to the Director of Public Prosecutions and other suitable Government agencies,” the statement reads in part.
